Hi all! I am Christy, a 26 year-old wife and mother (my son, Dexter, will be 2 in July). I have lost a significant amount of weight starting the day that my son was born so that I would be healthier and more active for him. I never thought that I would be a runner or that it was something I could have the endurance to do. I have more endurance than I have ever had in my whole life, and really feel up to the challenge of being a runner. I can already run a mile without walking, currently, but started a beginners running program this week to help build on my endurance and make sure that I am not taking on too much, too fast!
I am really looking forward to the support/advice/motivation from more experienced runners, and look forward to reaching my first goal of running a 5K!
