Wow everyone, thanks so much for the warm words of welcome and encouragement! You are all an inspiration to me when I see your progress...
Welcome ... I wanted to share some words of wisdom that I had to give to my husband when he was using some of the same rhetoric as you ... 'eventually be a runner' ... this is a quote from John Bingham (The Penguin Runner) -- •"If you run, you are a runner. It doesn't matter how fast or how far. It doesn't matter if today is your first day or if you've been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run."
WELCOME to the addiction!

Welcome...I am excited to see that you are getting into running. It is also thrilling to hear that you are achieving your goals. You have done so well.
Feel free to ask questions about anything and everything. This group is very understanding and informative.
Welcome to the group!
Hi Team, I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jason and I am very new to running (well slooooow jogging at this point) but I am excited to be moving in the right direction. I have never been much of a runner due to Asthma (well and being a fat guy). I am on a new controller now and it seems to be working becuase for hte first time in my life I have been able to jog for longer distances/times. I have always enjoyed walking but wished I would eventually be able to step it up to running; guess I am on my way now.
Anyways, I am excited to be on this team and to get out and eventually be considered a "runner"
