Hi! My name is Cathy and I started jogging to lose weight. Now, I'm addicted to running! I've completed 2 half marathons and several 5K and 10K's. I just completed the Santa Cruz 1/2 marathon last Sunday and had a great and horrible experience (dehydration). I will be running the Big Sur Marathon relay on May 1st, the Bay to Breakers on May 15th, and the Nike Women's Half Marathon on Oct 16th (hopefully, I get in). I am debating on a full marathon by the end of this year.
I first started walking/jogging at my heaviest. Now, after losing 40 pounds, I am jogging which is a great accomplishment for me. I have 50 more pounds to lose and I know I can do it since this is a life journey.
I grew up in Southern CA and currently live in Northern CA.
