Hello All,

Old member but lost weight and gained weight :( Thanks to my under active thyroid. While I am finding out way to get rid of Thyroid problem. But I am sure I can loose weight, I have done it before. But I am 5 year old now then I was before so little nervous. Wish me luck.

Hi I just joined this site. My great grand daughter introduced me to this.
I fact she taught me computers 15 years ago. My husband-92 & I live with my son.
I have severe mobility issues and need to lose atleast 20 Kgs to lead a healthy non-dependent life.

Hi my name is Nina. I joined spark people last week. My sister jyoti introduced me to spark people and this Indians unite team! Jai ho! I am new to spark site. I joined because I want to lose weight. Past few years I have developed some unhealthy eating habits and gained so much weight which gave my high blood pressure and put me on the border line of getting diabetes. I have lost interest in doing daily activities. I was feeling tired, lazy and lethargic all the time and was just munching on anything I would find. But not anymore, since my sister introduced me to spark people. I have started to change my diet habits. I also have started to do at least 10 min of exercise every day to build my stamina.. I have to lose 77lbs to keep my ideal weight of 120 lbs according to my height. Lol I know. Have a long way to go. And I hope I don't lose my motivation. Not sure if I've clicked on the right link. Apologies if I didn't. I joined this group a few minutes ago.
I am a male, 56 yrs, 150 pounds, type-2 diabetic (marginal case), vegetarian, living on an organic farm in south India after chucking my job 10 years ago. I am collaborating with the doctor to go off even this tiny bit of medication (metformin). I walk about 4 km daily (40 min), try to do yoga/weights on alternate days.

My biggest problem is consistency. For six months, I'll be the most disciplined yogi in the world and the next six months fall off the wagon! I plan to post my daily meals and exercise plans on this site as a way of being accountable to a larger group, in the hope that you'll give me the much-needed kick in the butt every now and then. I currently only write down everything in a diary.

I would ideally like to drop another 10 pounds and especially reduce the body fat percentage. I've been experimenting with various diet plans, with limited success.

Hi All,

I am Vasu from Bangalore. I am 26 year old , i have no health issues but only concern is i am obese.
Hope this forum will help me to reach my goal faster.

Hey everyone!! I'm Jisha. Read about this site in Shape magazine. I really wanna lose like 20 pounds and also keep them off. I did succeed in losing them last year in time for a family affair. But they are back. I always seem to be lacking the motivation required to get up in the morning to workout. I have now taken up yoga, but i really need to do some strength training and cardio. I hope to find both motivation and inspiration here. Looking forward to a thinner me!!

hello ,

I am new to this Forum / Spark People. Looking for motivation and ready to take challanges. Since we all are from India . We can understand the challanges we all face. Some how I feel I will get better inspiration from this forum. I am trying to maintain my weight and at the same time want to get into a better shape.

Hi,
As my screen name suggests...it is HIGH time that I moved the darn needle on the scale anticlock wise! My weight has been on yoyo mode, especially since the last 6 years which is actually from the time I have been married. I had lost some kgs and have now gained back even more :( ..
I love to eat and in general have healthy food. But, my sweet "teeth" and ofcourse my lazy butt are the reasons for this non-stop struggle with my weight.
My husband being a foodie and a lazy partner in crime does not help either, so I really need motivation to keep steady on this weight loss journey.

Hi All!

My name is Harshil and I have been a SP member for a bit now, but just discovered this team. I am happy to join, it's always more enjoyable and seems to give better results when I can talk to people who get where I am coming from. I am currently 175ish lbs and would like to lose 10 lbs. I also need to reduce my cholesterol level, and increase muscle tone. Unfortunately, I also LOVE to eat (I am sure some of you understand =P )

Hi , I am Aparna, am 31 and have quite a few health issuse major being spinal curvature called scoliosis. I need to lose weight as the more i pile on ;the more my back hurts me..
My medicines put me into depression so i need all the motivation in the world !
