Hello, my name is Theresa. I'm new to this team, but have fought depression and anxiety for most (if not all) of my life. Over the years, I've been diagnosed with Social Anxiety, undefined anxiety, Panic Attacks, both minor and major Depression and finally Attention Deficit Disorder.

I was over 40 when the ADD diagnosis came about. When I learned that depression and anxiety were extremely common with this disorder, I finally understood where it all started.

I'm a member of "Adults with ADD/ADHD," "Dealing With Depression," and "Dealing with Anxiety." However, I hope that adding this team helps me understand some of the complex issues in my life.

Hi everyone. My name is Amy, and I've struggled with depression for many years, but I saw this team and I thought you looked like a supportive/kind bunch, and I love the smiley face picture! Lately I've been having a tough time, I still struggle so much with my addiction to food, I know when people say "its just so hard" some people take that as just an excuse but I guess what's hard is dealing with depression and the eating disorder at the same time, makes it a bit tougher to stay on track, but I'm not giving up, I'm still going to try even though I've been having setbacks. I hope to make some friends here hopefully and some people I can relate to. emoticon

Well I saw my Psychiatrist today. We agreed to stay off Abilify and try upping my Lamictal to 400 a day. I take 200 now and have tried 300 but it made no difference. So We are titrating up. I hope it will be the miracle it was for me 5 years ago at 200. Maybe my body is just used to it now. emoticon

I'm happy that you can get outside at the very least. Fresh air does wonders for the soul.

Well, I still haven't been able to leave the house besides going outside. Something (anxiety) stops me dead in my tracks. I haven't been to church in 3 months! I am missing all the beautiful days!

Thanks for joining Curvesarin!
I've lost many inches waaaay back when at Curves, loved it! The center has since closed down in my area.

Creativity and rocket like energy is probably the only upside to Bipolar for me. I just feel so alive when it happens, but alas the crash is never far behind. Always trying to find that happy medium, that is my mission.

Good to have you here!

Hi, my name is Dianne. I have Bi-Polar 1. Was diagnosed closed to 5 years ago. My ups and downs really get better or worse depending on the amount of stress I have in my life. I like the hypomanic part of Bi-Polar. Just as CURVESAREIN stated you are much more creative in that state. I used to do so many things. Embroidery, knitting, needlepoint. I sewed and did flower arrangements. I could also build things such as furniture using all kinds of power tools. I so enjoyed that. Now it is just the same routine. I do not feel bad but I cannot say that I am feeling good either. When different things happen, my reaction is "Oh whatever". I am trying really hard to improve that. I am trying by meditation, relaxation techniques and just the power of positive thinking. I WILL get there soon.

Hi,
My Name came from my working at Curves for Women. Besides Curvesarein! No Twiggy's here. I was diagnosed with bipolar 2 about 6 years ago. Recent diagnosis of Rapid Cycling bipolar 2. When I am not depressed I am a very creative and active person. (Hypomanic). Which I would love to get right now. Beats the depression. With the depression I stay home all day. The Abilify is clearing my system and I feel better. It will be 75 today and I am going to leave this house and get fresh air, some shopping maybe too.
