LOTS of free, low-cost ways of being active. The most enjoyable for me is getting out for walks around our beautiful outdoors!
Then there are workout DVDs which you can rent from library or even workout with Coach Nicole for free with the exercise videos that SparkPeople offers on their website.
Some people enjoy working outdoors, gardening, pruning, mowing, hedge-trimming, etc.
Others like to walk their dogs or their neighbor's dog.
Some like to break out their dancing shoes and head out to our local Swing Dance gathering every Tues. evening for a mere $3 for a night of fun. The Salsa Music Appreciation club also has a similar gathering.

I used to belong to RAC, but gave up my membership. I'm thinking of rejoining now that they have a lift for the pool. I do most of my exercises in the pool...easier on my joints. I also have weights at home I use. I also belong to the chair exercise group here at Sparks. Lots of good ideas are shared there.
Don (ddoorn) is a member of RAC, but loves bicycling. He's on a bike tour around Cape Cod as we speak.

I graduated from BHS in 1999 then went on to BCC. My health went downhill as soon as I went to college, but am loving it on this site. What do you do locally for exercise? I can't afford a gym membership anytime soon.
