We went to Hershey this month too. I wore my pedometer and we walked almost 5 miles. I think that helped cancel out the yummy food.

I also seem to feel hungrier as my weight goes down - I guess it really does mean I have to get my body used to eating that much less to maintain... sigh...

Sorry to leave you all hanging all weekend - my family and I went to Hershey Park for a little getaway before school starts for our daughter.

Thanks Don,
I know it will take longer because I have less than 20 to lose and in the past it was 50-60 and I am over 40.. Thanks for the thoughts!

Maintaining is the TOUGHEST of challenges...I think I get "hooked" on the falling numbers and when they don't "fall" so much anymore...? Tough to stay motivated.

Hi Michelle,
I got to goal weight in 2005 stayed within 2 pounds for 6 weeks to reach lifetime but never saw it again. I have such a hard time losing weight. It's very discouraging. My job is pretty stressful, especially last school year. I would love to help you. I just got the book and am on Chapter 2. I really just want to get to 150 or 149 (just to get into the 40's). I'm pretty good at losing but not so good at maintaining. I'm just glad I have about 20 to lose and not 50-60 like I've had to before. Have a great day!

Hi Lynne! I'm also 41 and work full time (though I might venture to say that your work may be both more stressful and more rewarding than mine LOL!). I'm in the "last 20" group too - and I've never cracked the last 15 - pounds 15-20 just keep piling on and off, sigh...

I did WW a while back and it worked very well for me for losing 30 lb., but I never got to my goal and I've been maintaining a little higher than I really want to be ever since.

Maybe we can help each other!

Michelle

I am looking for a weight loss buddy. I don't get much support at home. I am 41 and a full time middle school teacher. I am trying to lose the 20 pounds I lost and found since 2005. I did WW forever and am sick of counting points. I also have thyroid issues and it isn't helpful. Would someone like to be my buddy?
