Thanks Don! Yes nursing is a wide open and great field and I am excited to have so many opportunities with it.
I see alot of new things here so I need to poke around and settle in. I will keep it going this time! Spark worked really well for me before.
I can see you are doing well too - very happy for you!
That sounds great about Ithaca, I am at a softball tourney that weekend in Cortland so I can't make it but maybe next time.
Super to see you return!
So sorry to hear that academia and Sparking don't always necessarily agree... :-(
Hope you can come around now and again...a quick post or two...? We're trying to pull together a Spark Rally with our neighbors in Ithaca on Sun. Aug. 2nd if you're interested...?
Been on vacation out here visiting my son and other family...posted a blog today with some pics.
WTG with your academic SUCCESS! Nursing is such a great field to pick up these days. I think healthcare in general is going to be in demand for a long, long time keeping up with us aging boomers...lol! And if one doesn't have the constitution nor the $$$ to pursue and MD, nursing and Physician Assistant are the two next best things. I'm sure you'll find yourself with many terrific job opportunities once you're finished!

Hi!! I am so glad to see that some of my friends are still here and doing well - good job for sticking! I started Nursing school last September and jumped off my SPARK program. I had lost 25 pounds and gained 20 back. I pretty much figured that Nursing school would consume me and it did - heart, soul and crappy habits came back. I even gave up my music - the work was hard. I did manage to get great grades and do well - Presidents List and Deans List - not bad! So now - my goal is to shed about 5 - 10 pounds before I start again August 24th and to keep Sparking during my next semester so I don't have to work so hard at keeping up with the younger students! I will be done May 2010 and hope to be near my goal weight by then. I am very active - I play golf, tennis and softball (which is almost over) but I have a dog (lola) who needs to walk more! So how are y'all doing?
