Either sounds good! Or maybe just: Cutting The Processed Foods? So far it's really working for me... I guess because it leaves me with the illusion that I can eat as much as I want still.

The Nature's Way one is really good! I'm deeming it too processed but it's definitely a step up from the others that have MSG.

Okay
What shall we call it? Processed food vs. natural foods?
Challenge to subsitute a processed food for a home cooked food?
Some other title?

And actually I found a healthy Pasta Roni when I went to the store yesterday. It is labeled Nature's Way, and you use olive oil and water. It only has 250 calories per serving instead of the 450 that I read on the regular boxes. I'm going to try it and see if it tastes as good as the regular, because that is one of my favorites also.

How about a thread in the Team Challenges about cutting processed foods? I'm not working out much...or really officially dieting...but for the past week, I've followed a new rule "No highly processed foods." I'd love to vent in an official thread on how I miss eating potato chips and Pasta Roni.

Hi Everyone!
Anyone like to swim? I added it as my summer cardio & it is really helpful because I can even do aerobics in the water where I can't always workout as I'd like on dry land. Plus it takes the strain off the joints.

My new Anita Blake (I pre-ordered) is on the wayemoticon I'll give a review as soon as I can!

In light of the fabulous weather how about a challenge about getting outside for some amount of time. Like Be outside for 30 minutes, 5 days a week. That would certain ly be a challenge for me. I love being outside, but it really does seem to be a challenge.

I have a pedometer - a really nice one too. But the battery's dead. I need to get a new one. Once I start wearing it, I might get a bit more motivated to move more.

I have been logging in my steps, I don't always get up the the actual 6,000, but I figure every step counts and most days I do get up above 2,000. I tell myself Hey at least I did walk a mile today. Every little bit helps, right???emoticon

Okay, I will set up a team goal of 6,000 steps a day. After I do, please check to make sure I did it correctly. Hope your doc gives you the OK. I have to go buy a pedometer, because when I just count I lose count LOL

No the med I am on didn't cause the heart problem , not actually sure what did. I have tachacardia to fast heart beat. They are trying me on beta blockers to get my heart to slow down. I will have to make sure that the 6000 steps a day are ok with the Dr. before I start but it sounds resonable to me ;)

Sorry to hear about your heart. Did the medicine cause the heart problems? Are you still on it? I would like to suggest as a team goal walking 6000 steps a day, b/c I think 10,000 is unrealistic when you work or go to school everyday. But I don't want to have you try something that causes your heart greater strain. Have you read the Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop? Not supernatural, but still very good.

Well Me myself ..I have had a big set back in the last six months. I gained fifty pounds b/c of a new med the Dr. put me on. Then I developed heart problems. So I am not really sure what I can do anymore as walking across the room makes my heart race and my breathing hard. I don't want to give up though so maybe we can figure out a book to read a certain set of miles that we as a team can put in together. I also would love to find a way for all of us to chat more often :)

I would like to introduce myself, sparkpeople asked me if I wanted to be a co-leader since WickedDone has not posted for months. I would like to start some team goals, but since we are a book club, my thought would be to read a least two books a week, but that really doesn't burn many calories. Any ideas for some team goals??? And if you know anyone else who likes supernatural romance please invite them to join our group.
