It doesn't look like this board is very active, but that's alright. I've been on SP for over 2 years & have been dieting & exercising for over 3 years. I lost 30 pounds & have about 10-14 more to go to reach my goal weight.
I've known I've had a candida problem for a few years now & try to watch carbs & take probiotics religiously but looking back on my symptoms, I now know that it goes back well over 10 years.
Two months ago, I started seeing a naturapathic doctor who diagnosed me with 3 issues, one of which is candida in my large intestines. For the first month, I was taking a powder before bed to help break down the cell walls of the candida so that my morning probiotic could break it down but I didn't change my diet until last week. Over the past 2 months of supplements/vitamins, I put 6 pounds back on. Last week I decided that I really need to kill off the candida, so I cut carbs WAY back & I'm so excited to see the scale moving in the right direction again! I've lost 4 pounds!! My doctor thinks I can fix this over the next couple of months & I hope he's right.
Well, I hope that people are still checking this board. There is not a lot of support for candida issues.
