Hi to all you new people to the group. I have not been on spark for a while. I was doing really good about cutting things out of my diet and taking my probiotics but have gotten off the path again. So I am going to pull my head out of the sand and get back to it. I was feeling so much better but now have gradually gone back down hill. No energy, is my biggest symptom standing out right now. Thrush only once in awhile, gluten is a no can do for me. That just messing me all up. Any ways have a great day.

SW 260 the ugly truth.

Have a God filled Day!!!

I am new to this board but not new to Candida Yeast problems. It runs very strong in my family. I have read The Yeast Connection and Women's Health MANY times.. But hard to get support from Doctors so I'm pretty much on my own. I know my weight has to do with candida yeast. But I'm not very strong to keep away from it with five kids around the house...

Hi all....After looking on the internet for answers to my recurrent yeast infections along with mouth ulcers/thrush, I'm self diagnosing myself with candida. I'm going to make an appt. with my GP....I've read conflicting info on the internet about some doctors not testing for it/ not believing it as an actual condition. I'll peruse the topics here and hopefully learn some helpful information! Since I've been back to Sparking this time around, I've been limiting my sugar intake, along with alcohol, and I've read those are two big no-no consumables for those with candida.

Hello All! Doesn't look like there are many of us on this team, but that's ok!

I am trying to kill my candida problem through a diet overhaul, eating a lot of anti-fungal foods, and probiotics.

My symptoms include- fatigue, alcohol intolerance, chemical and fragrance sensitivity, recurring fungal infections on skin, depression, anxiety, acne due to fungus/yeast on face, and a few others. I just hope I can make a difference through diet and kill off this candida overgrowth.

Hi everyone! I am trying the anti candida diet after having no luck with reducing the frequency of my headaches. This was recommended by the chiropractor I see. So far I am finding this a very challenging diet.

Hi Ladies and thank you Sunflower for letting me know that this group was out there!
I have Candida and Leaky Gut. I just found out last week that I have sensitivities to Dairy, Wheat, Yeast and Gluten. I have Adrenal Fatigue as well and a bad back. Just sayin'. ;0

I feel like I am starving to death. I lost 4 lbs this week. I am pretty much a Vegan and have been for about 50 years now. (I am 58).

Would love to get to know you all and figure this thing out.
How do you know if you are having liver problems?
Looking forward to sharing with you all-

Am also wondering just what symptoms you are having with this?
I think my drainage of energy is from my Adrenal Fatigue and my anxiety...how about you?

Hi, I'm new. Seems we have a cluster of us that are new to this team so maybe we can get something going. (Not that I have a ton of sparkin' time!)

I am doing this on my own. Haven't had moolah to see my natropath or even to buy the liver supplements that she gave me that were really helping. I am not doing a strict candida diet as I found one that allows you to have fruit and whole-grains in moderation. That seemed healthier to me than doing it the other way.

I think someone was asking for recipe ideas. I will post a new thread for that since I have a suggestion of something I made recently.

I am really looking for a group on an anti-fungal diet. I think the candida diet is about the same. I have both problems. My chiropractor has me on a really good diet which is working so far. Need ideas for vegetable dishes and menu plans with NO SUGAR, NO GRAINS, corn, potatoes, yeast, cheese etc.

My first goal is to lose 10% of my body weight. (done!)
My 2nd goal is to do that again! (almost there!)

Hi!

I have finally gotten fed up with having Chronic Yeast Infections and using OTC meds which were prescribed to me by my Family Dr. with NO success. I have recently started a Candida-cleanse and diet, I am in my 3rd week and I have good days and bad. I am finding there is A LOT of contradictory info out there and it is hard and frustrating at times to know what is okay to eat and what isn't. But I am learning and glad to know that there are other people out there who are battling with Candida too and glad to be a part of this Support Network!

Thanks!!

HI there!

How long do you have your candida problem? Have you been on a low carb diet? Watching what you eat & knowing what to eat & not eat is equally important. I have been to several holistic doctors in the past. Each one treated the candida problem different. I have been studying about candida for a long time. A good book that I use a lot is called The Yeast Connection Cookbook by William G.Crook, M.D. Actually Dr. Crook is the one that found the yeast problem. No one has ever heard of it before.

A candida problem consists of having an overgrowth of yeast & bad bacteria in your colon. You get this condition several ways. At some time in our lives our balanced colon got out of balance. That is what causes this condition in the first place. There is a long list of symptoms that candida can cause. If you purchase the book it will explain everything about candida. It also gives you new food to eat & really tasty receipes.

I will help you in whatever way I can to get your life back again. If you have any more questions let me know.

Hi Everyone,

I am a new member to this group & also your new co-leader. Please bear with me as I get myself used to all that is needed to help you. I have been struggling with my Candida infections for many years. I have many stories to share with you as to how to finally heal yourself for good.

Candida can make your life miserable & will keep coming back if you don't treat it right. Being on a low carb diet in not enough when it comes to a yeast infection. I am happy to be a part of this wonderful group. Meet you all & help you anyway I can so you can live a happy life again.

If anyone has any questions or concerns they need help on just let me know. I will be glad to help you.

Hello everyone! I have been living with this disease for years now but could not figure out how to get rid of my symptoms. Now I know what is causing them. I am really happy to be part of this team and hoping to receive the encouragement I need to start the diet plan. I know it won't be easy but I need to get healthy for myself, husband and kids. I look forward to reading more of your posts as I begin this exciting journey.

Hi everyone. I'm new here!! This isn't a very popular subject is it? I found out I had Candida 4 months ago and a very distressed liver. i went to my naturalpathic doctor for a visit yesterday and found I'm doing better but not as good as she would like. We've limited my foods drastically to make sure I stay on the low glycemic foods. Too many vitamins and suppliments. Good news is that I'm losing weight without trying!!

Any advice or yummy recipes would be great. (p.s I'm allergic to onions and i'm a super picky eater)

Thanks

Hi - I've got a lot of food allergies and intolerances and thought I would try the diet. It can't hurt - well, yes actually, my food choices are already very limited and the rest of my life is stressful. The eliminate even more - I just hope it helps.

I'm a 54 y/o woman living in Upstate NY - married, empty nest, working as a Lifeguard this summer at a kind-of-local waterpark. I also sing and run. Nice to meet y'all.

I got my test results back last week, was positive for Candida and was totally in shock. I shouldn't have been in shock, because I have several symptoms, but eating is an emotional issue for myself and many of us. I guessed that SparkPeople would have a support group for this tough eating and health issue. I am glad to have found this community because I need pep rally help around this issue. Thank you for being here!

Hi Jo. First go to the top pf this page and click on Community and a drop down box will appear. Then click on Spark Pages and when that page come in there will be a place for your Spark page. When you get to your Spark page up in the Right hand corner there are some instructions, so click on "Set up my Spark page". And don't forget to click on let everyone see it. Cause then we can help you if you need it. But there will be a place that you can tell a little about yourself, and add Pictures if you like, or what ever your heart desires.
I am interested in hearing about your systematic Candida. I don't know anything about that. I have followed a very strict diet for the last year and a half and it has helped me. And I have lost 200 pounds. I have lost a total of 420 pounds all together. Hope to hear from you soon, ~Neva~

Thank you for the welcome. I had joined Spark a long time ago but never came on it and never knew anything about setting up a page. How would I go about setting up my page? Anyway, thanks for the welcome. A little about me: I'm Jo, married to my best friend for 46 years. Have 3 adult children, 4 grandchildren and blessed with 1 great granddaughter. We live in Southern Arizona. I have Systemic Candida and am having such a rough time of it. I need to go on a strict diet for it and don't even know where to start so any help I can receive will be greatly appreciated.

Jo
