So sorry to hear about your loss, but happy you were able to bring two more to love and to love you.
It is not immoral not to finish a meal, but it is of questionable morality to treat yourself like a waste-disposal system.
Turtle pace will win the diet race.
Isn't it wonderful how a dog will help you heal when the time is right? After we had to put Juliette away, then a little over a year later JoJo, I made up my mind not to have anymore, it hurt to much to lose them. Then 2 months after we lost JoJo my husband died suddenly. With the lose of both so close it was rather sad around here, so about 6 months later we got Lili and she healed our broken hearts, she was so fun to play with and she loved to cuddle. She healed us so much that last November when I found out about a Boston puppy that had been rescued and was up for adoption, we just had to have her too. They are a year apart in age and the play is constant since Lili will be 2 in August and Penny will be 1, 3 days later also in August. They immediately got along as tho they were best friends, of course we tell them they are sisters, tho they are not related.
I am so sorry you lost your beloved BT, but how wonderful that you have 2 new companions to love. You will have the best time.
Goal: To do better today than I did yesturday.
That is always a hard decision to make. We had to do that for our Maggie 6 years ago. It was not something we took lightly, but it was the right thing to do. We still have her and Teddy's collars. I keep them on my dresser.
We got Toby and Rocky shortly (within a few months) of Teddy's and Maggie's passing, respectively (they passed away about a year apart). They brought joy to our lives and helped us get back to some normalcy.
Haven't been on sp for a while...I wanted to say hey to everyone..let you know that in July we had to let go of our 13 year old Roscoe...after a bout with Daibetes- a year of injections, his vision and hearing went..and he really couldn't get around confortably...it was the hardest thinkg I ever had to do :. Thought we would wait a while but in August my 11 yo daughter asked if we could look at puppies..We went out and found a cutie- OTIS (wil be one in May). After that we rescued OZZY- who will be one in NOV. They are awesome..my loves...
Hope you are all well! Hloping to get back on board at SP!!!
When we come to the edge of the light we know, and are about to step off into the darkness of the unknown, of this we can be sure...either God will provide something solid to stand on or...we will be taught to fly.
