I never had much luck determining how to control it before I went on medication. For me, I think it is hereditary because I don't eat much red meat and don't touch alcohol. Seems like exercise somehow caused it to flair up, but I always refused to stop that. I started up medication just a few weeks ago.

I was diagnosed with Gout at age 23 in my big toe on my right foot. Im hoping to learn to control it without having to go on medications. doesnt seem like anyones been in this forum for a while though..........Hellooooooooooo! Anybody out there?
