Hey, y'all! I've been a Spark member for about 3 months. For a while I lost weight consistently, but life got in the way and I started plateauing then trending upward.

I want to get back on track and get to a heathy BMI for the first time in my life!! I've got about 40 lbs to go.

I think some challenges might help.

Hi! I'm Kim. I want to lose 50 or so pounds by end of July for my 30th high school reunion. 😎 I am working on buying healthier snacks and eating less or no meat. Dairy will be hard! But cutting back on sodas will be my first challenge. I love sweetened green tea or other herbal teas. So there's that! Lol Good luck to us all!

It gives you something to look forward and you will feel a sense of accomplishment after you complete them. Hey Carol! Welcome to the team. Progress doesn't follow a straight line. Things go up and down - sometimes opposite of the direction you think they should go. Look at the long term, and remember you're commitment to a healthy lifestyle. Hi. I'm Carol and I have been a member of SparkPeople for 3 weeks now. I have been very dedicated to tracking my food, water and exercise. The first week I lost 4 of the 60 pounds I have to get rid of. The 2nd week I stayed exactly the same and so far this week nothing is coming off. I am discouraged so I decided to join this team and take one day at a time. I'm looking for support and motivation. emoticon

Hi I'm Stephanie. I'm 24 years old, and right now I weigh 257... I lost three pounds so far. My journey has been a long one. I had weighed close to 290 and got down to 226, but due to issues with food money or lack of it, I gained almost all of it back. My name is Kristen. I joined SparkPeople on May 11th, 2015 @ 185.6 lbs. Since then I have lost 21 lbs. My first goal was to lose 20 lbs. by my 30th birthday which is in 2 weeks. Hey from Bama,

I found the BSD at the first of the year through a Spark Friend. I love that book. Using it and my doc's weight loss clinic, I lost 15 pounds. Then life got crazy, some emotional stuff, and I have still kept the weight off (mostly) but I didn't finish Beck.

I'm on Day 4 - GIVING MYSELF CREDIT.
Credit for doing some housework, yard work, eating mindfully, and doing some hand weight workouts and wall/kitchen counter pushups.

I have been pretty active on SparkPeople since retiring in 2008 and found this team while looking at one of my SparkFriend's page. I wasn't ready to join yet so bookmarked it to come back to later and now don't remember which SparkFriend I have who is also here.

There is quite a bit about me on my SparkPage and I write blogs fairly regularly if you want to take a look. I've been gone from SparkPeople for several weeks now due to coming down with a persistent case of shingles in mid-February. The initial rash started to fade the first part of March and then came back again worse than ever. Not only wasn't I feeling very good I was depressed and frustrated and definitely not feeling like participating in my Spark teams or doing much of anything else. I'm still a little itchy but think the worst is over now and I'm ready to start working on my weight loss goals and catching up with my Spark friends again.

I live in Southern Oregon. The weather here is good, our fruit trees are all budding and I'm making plans to get our vegetable garden started. The doctor told me to stay out of the sun because it would aggravate my shingles rash so I'm starting my plants indoors and will replant them in our garden beds when they get big enough. I've been outside when it's cool in the morning getting the garden beds ready and pulling weeds in my flower bed so getting a little exercise that way. I also bought an exercise bike and have been using it a little every day. It's been awhile so I'm having to start slowly, so far I can manage about 15 minutes at a time and that's all.

Hello, I'm looking forward to being a part of a new team. I'm trying to improve my lifestyle. The one thing that I've stuck to is giving up potato crisps for Lent. I'm glad that at least one goal has been stuck with. Would like to control evening eating for next challenge but finding it hard. Will try one day at a time to eat fruit at night. Hi - I am a returning member! I have had some great success with SP and a gym that focuses on weight loss through increased muscle and metabolism. However, I had to stop all shoulder work and activity in January due to a very painful "impingement" syndrome. I am not 100 percent yet and have to watch it! Needless to say...the weight has crept back on and I know how hard it was to get it off - so I am determined to nip it in the bud, so to speak. So back to SP and teams such as this one!

Remember: Whenever you point a finger, there are 3 more pointing back at yourself. Take responsibility and lead by example.

Trying to get healthier. 1 Lose weight 2 Keep sugar levels under control. 3 Feel like doing more stuff. 4. I do have quit smoking under my belt, thus the weight gain. One year smoke free 1/23/15. This can't be an excuse any longer! Sure I gained 40 pounds, but that is a heck of a lot of food! I am not going to be Miss Piggy any more, I am soon to be Miss Fit! Love it. Oh yeah, I love to have fun and laugh.

Hello, I am Rosa and joined SparkPeople in 2008. After doing well for 7 months life got in the way and I fell by the wayside, regain all of the weight I had lost and some. I got back on track in November 2012, but hit the wall last October and have struggle to get back on track ever since, regaining more than half of my hard won weight loss. Hello everyone! I'm a 29 year old woman who has been married for 10 years. We have been blessed with 2 children, a 9 year old son and a 1 year old daughter. I've always been on the "chunky" side, but after giving birth to my son, I gained a lot of weight. It wasn't until after giving birth to my daughter that I weighed my heaviest...220 lbs. I was shocked that I had allowed myself to get like this. Shocked and disgusted. I've now lost 15 lbs, but I know that I have a very long road ahead of me. Can't wait to meet you all!

Just joined this challenge. I'm retired, so have time to play with SP tracking and challenges. Just sometimes things get so hectic, even now, that I miss checking in. Drinking the 8 glasses a day has always been a tough one for me. If I go to a gym, and take a bottle with me, it'll work. But I don't go every day and before I know it, the day is half through and I've only had one glass. Hoping this will keep me reminded. I live in upstate western NY in warm weather, and head to FL before the snows set in once fall arrives. I like SP, dancing, walking the hills, my chihuahua, Skittles, and my sweetheart of a husband.

Hi! I'm new to this board but I've been on and off SP for years. When I follow it, I get results...when I fall off the wagon, it sucks :p I've tried several team challenges and I usually fail at them because I don't have to time or the attention to keep up with the week/month long challenges. This seems perfect! Here's to success for all emoticon

Welcome new people, and welcome back to the returners. This IS a good place to be. I'm Em, I've been here 14 months, lost 60+ pounds, and am struggling with the final 29. I'm making SP a permanent part of my life to get me through those 29, then throughout maintenance.

Hi. I'm Noel from Yuba City California. I'm 36 and I have struggled with my weight my whole life. After discovering I have a lot of weight related issues I realized it's time to change. I just had double hernia surgery 2 weeks ago so I had a hiccup in my workouts but I'm back on the wagon. As of today I have lost 34 pounds. I need to lose about another 166 pounds. I'm hoping to be the example my kids need to see.

Hi I'm Donna. In central Ohio. Where like most of the Midwest if you wait 5 minutes the weather will change and usually does. I am a self employed embroiderer for that past 20 years.
So "scheduling time to work out" is fun.I've been on SP for awhile but in the background. My daughter is tired of being my only friend on SP and is helping me break out of my ruts. I'm thinking about getting one of the spark trackers (since I don't have a chair at work and run about my shop all day) my old pedometer broke but I can sure rake up the steps. Any thoughts
on the tracker... good idea?

My name is Sandy and I love long walks on the beach! ;) Unfortunately, I live in landlocked Kansas, but I still enjoy prairie sunset walks with my 2 little doggies. I'm starting the newest journey to getting my health back in control including losing weight. I'll start doing well then get whatever virus is going around (then start all over again)! I'm on the down slope of a sinus infection, I'm still taking my antibiotics like a good girl, and hopefully will be back to 100% again soon. I signed up for a Color Run 5k (my first!) for motivation and am doing the C25k training to stick to some sort of regular program. I also have to mention that miraculously I passed up the chocolate donut I wanted SO BAD this morning. Anyway, glad to be a part of this team, it looks like FUN! Happy & Healthy is going to be my new mantra. YAY!

Hi, my name is Shelda and I'm tired of the yo-yo, so I'm ready to end the cycle. I'm a foodie and have a Supper Club that meets once a month in my home. I love to sweat so exercise is not my weakness. Lately it seems my immune system has not been very good, so every time I get in to a routine with diet and exercise I get a virus or the current thing that's going around. I feel that if I get my diet correct I can stop this cycle.

I'm on a bit of information over-load with SparkPeople, so bear with me while I figure it all out.

Well I'm off to hike around Lake Sherwood located in Greenbrier County, WV.

Hello Team! I am married and live in Texas. My twins are 21 and in college. I am an empty nester. I retired from teaching after 32 years. I am recovering from a broken leg and just got the green light to exercise yesterday. My husband and I are downsizing, so we have lots of STRESS of moving heading our way over the next month. What a great idea this Team is! I've been looking for something to keep me accountable on a daily basis and which is motivating too - and there are some fantastic ideas here.

I'm Diana. I'm a Special Ed Consultant; 66 this year; living in the UK; still working; big, busy family including two new grandbabies; diagnosed with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, which has a mind of its own as to when it flares and goes and which joints it selects.

I could do with losing 14 lbs as my initial target as the less weight I personally carry, the easier it will be on my knees in particular.

My problem is finding me-time and when I do, dissuading myself from flopping in a chair with a bag of carbs. I managed 3-4 days of each week of the January Jumpstart Challenge, which has got me moving again this year. I want to keep the Momentum going until some exercise or action for good becomes a daily habit.

Can you see now why I'm so happy to have found you?!

Hello 1 Day Challengers!

Just re-joined SP last week and have been doing well so far. This 1 Day Challenge idea looks like something that will keep me on my toes. It's something that I need I think.

My highest weight was 293lbs and I now weigh in at 270.6lbs as of this past Monday. I am happily married and we are both working on getting healthier so that we can have kids.
