Regular we take our children out to play baseball. My three daughters and I hike and now we are getting my husband involved since we plan on hiking the Appalachian sometime this spring/ or summer but in sections; although someday I would like to do a straight through. I am passionate about organic gardening and I believe it was your post that inspired me to take the next steps in becoming a master gardener. I use to play tennis and hope to get back into tennis shape along with skill. My husband and I have always been athletes that is actually how our relationship began but that is another story. I can honestly say I love most outdoor living and certainly swimming.

Hi, Welcome to Outdoor Women. I am from Wisconsin and spend more time outside than in. I love to garden and start my own plants indoors. I also enjoy hiking, fishing, and camping. What do you like to do outdoors?

Hello my name is Emmeline I started spark People just 1.5 week ago and recently I learned of this group. Earlier this morning around 5 a.m. I posted my writing note to this group so maybe writing at 5 a.m. without caffeine is not the best idea.
I am certainly an out door girl but I am not fond of snow and today I am receiving snow. I want to hike the Appalachian trail. I actually dream of doing a straight through; my husband isn't so accepting of that idea and I hear it would take six months for the experienced hiker. I don't know I just feel like that alone time out in the wilderness, time to get my head straight and reflect and truly appreciate the earth.
