Pam,
Thanks for the heads up on the book (and great photo btw!) I read some reviews on the Live It Don't Diet book. I'm curious to hear how they compare.

Hi. I just discovered this team. I have spent the last seven weeks working in book called Live it-Don't Diet. It has been great. It has opened my eyes to why. When I saw this team, I was intrigued to buy the book. I have it now. When I read it, I will post my thoughts. I am in a book club. This team brings together both. Can't wait for the journey!

Pam :)

I'm glad for your discovery. Probably even more satisfying than the weight loss is the marvelous feeling of enjoying food in its place. Please keep sharing your journey with us.

emoticon Hi!

I just found out this team exists, and had to become a part of it.

About 2-3 weeks ago I bought the SHRINK YOURSELF book from Amazon.com and quickly became impressed with Dr. Gould. This book has become an answer to my prayers. emoticon

During my first week of following his principles, I lost 2 pounds. My second week (last week) I lost another 1/2 pound. And this is just the beginning!

Welcome Carisil.

I hope you really love Dr. Gould's book. I'm still reading it - I'm only in the middle of chapter 5, but I am already becoming far more aware of my own triggers and habits and I am already experiencing changes in my emotions and my habits. I look forward to chatting with someone else who is new to this too ...I think it is going to be an interesting ride.

Welcome! I am kind of new here too (and still have a few pages left in the book!) but I definitely had the same experience as you with Shrink Yourself! I have read sooo many diet/eating disorder/self-help books and none of them come close to Shrink Yourself. I'm glad you found it, and I'm looking forward to getting to know you!

I have just started reading this book and have never been so into something like this before. I read it when I'm at the gym, when i'm on the train, and right before bed - there hasn't been one time where I didn't want to scream out "yes - that is SOOO me!" I am finally getting to the root of my 15 year binge cycle and FINALLY figuring out why I do it. I never thought I was emotionally unstable - I always thought I was in control - not really though as I tend to feed every emotion with food. I can never just ...be. Now is the time where I learn more from this book about myself. I have read "Life Without Ed" and "Overcoming Overeating" and they have both been two really good book but this one is hitting it right on the head! I am super excited that there's a team for this book & can't wait to explore everyones' posts!

Nat
