I'm Bethany and I just came upon this topic in another SparkTeam post. I'm very curious about this topic as I know I emotionally eat. Looking forward to reading more.
See you all on the boards :)
Wow! Thanks for the cool link!!! I have the book and have highlight a great deal of it, but I love being able to read a page or two a day on my computer as needed (sort of a daily dose!)

I am new too. Thanks Donna for that link.
I printed out the pages and plan to highlight them as I go along.
I didn't begin reading it as of yet since I just got it, but I am anxious to begin as soon as I get "me" time.
I am glad you joined us, Donna. I have found Dr. Gould's book to be so helpful. I realized that so much of my LATE NIGHT eating, was just "comfort food." Now I stop and ask myself "WHY am I wanting to eat this?"
I had to have a "hard copy" of the book, because I have mine written in and marked with a YELLOW MARKER, like a textbook. I'm reading through it now for the second time.
Hi Donna and welcome to our team.
Thanks for sharing that link. I just bought the book on Amazon!

Congratulations on your weight loss!

I don't know if this is construed as advertising, it is not intended to - I have no affiliation with the site. I was doing a google as I was looking for the best price on this book and found this site where you can download a pdf of the book. I have a copy from the library and as far as I can tell, it is the exact same. I also did a scan to make sure there was no virus and my program didn't find anything.
Aside from that, hi, my name is Donna. In 2005 I began eating healthier and lost 100 pounds. Prior to that, I medicated my feelings with whatever I desired. Now, I actually look at what I'm eating and try to do so mindfully. I still struggle with wanting to over eat ~ even if it is healthy food. I'm hoping this book helps me find balance and I can know what it means to eat like a normal person ~ the person God created me to be. With this, I also hope to lose a little more and actually be in the "normal" weight range.
I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone.
