I am new too. Thanks Donna for that link. I printed out the pages and plan to highlight them as I go along. I didn't begin reading it as of yet since I just got it, but I am anxious to begin as soon as I get "me" time.

I am glad you joined us, Donna. I have found Dr. Gould's book to be so helpful. I realized that so much of my LATE NIGHT eating, was just "comfort food." Now I stop and ask myself "WHY am I wanting to eat this?"
I had to have a "hard copy" of the book, because I have mine written in and marked with a YELLOW MARKER, like a textbook. I'm reading through it now for the second time.
Hi Donna, Welcome aboard. I just finished the Shrink Yourself course and found it very helpful. As well as the paid program, there are several smaller courses on the site for free. Congratulations on your weight loss! Leslie

I don't know if this is construed as advertising, it is not intended to - I have no affiliation with the site. I was doing a google as I was looking for the best price on this book and found this site where you can download a pdf of the book. I have a copy from the library and as far as I can tell, it is the exact same. I also did a scan to make sure there was no virus and my program didn't find anything.
Aside from that, hi, my name is Donna. In 2005 I began eating healthier and lost 100 pounds. Prior to that, I medicated my feelings with whatever I desired. Now, I actually look at what I'm eating and try to do so mindfully. I still struggle with wanting to over eat ~ even if it is healthy food. I'm hoping this book helps me find balance and I can know what it means to eat like a normal person ~ the person God created me to be. With this, I also hope to lose a little more and actually be in the "normal" weight range.
