hello all, glad to see this group here. i just started reading shrink yourself, i'm only a few chapters in. i actually already feel like it's helping. i've been taking a second to think before i eat anything to see if i'm really hungry and if what i'm eating is really useful to my body. sometimes it works....sometimes it doesn't. it'll take time to form the thought process as a habit.
other than that, i'm currently in a stressful situation with a family member. her sickness has caused me to eat out a lot and definitely eat unhealthy food as a reactionary device. i believe that lack of control is my main trigger for EE. i also do weird things to my hair and get tattoos...i see a lot of trips to the stylist and tattoo parlor in my future!
i look forward to reading the rest of the book and hope that it will help me control my issues and realize my weight goals. good luck to you all!
