A belated hi and welcome to the team emoticon

Smile .... it makes people wonder what you're up to ;-)

The fourth glass of wine is always a good idea before you do it and a really bad idea afterward! ;-)

It is far easier to MAKE time to exercise than it is to FIND time to exercise. You want results???? MAKE it happen.

Hi Peggy, and here's a belated emoticon

Hi, PEGGY! Congrats on the weight you have lost so far.

What this team is all about is togetherness, enjoyment of our diversity, and freedom from judgement if we have a different belief system from another person. A person's religious belief or non-belief is personal, and we are here to BEFRIEND, and SUPPORT. No topic is off limits.

There are times when we do vent over hurt feelings, when people elsewhere on SparkPeople have acted "holier than thou", based upon thinking their own religion is right and everyone else's is wrong. We have nothing against religion or against those who don't believe. We are one, here. Life is too short to fight over religion. I read somewhere that when two people fight over religion, both are wrong. That makes sense to me.

Actually, we don't discuss religion very much at all.

Our major FOCUS is on the thing we have in common, a desire to gain skills that help us stay as healthy as possible and lose weight and maintain the loss. It's not an easy journey for any of us, so we enjoy the acceptance we feel here.

Lots of smiles, hugs and smooches from other team members. We have a chat room (our "hangout"), a sexy virtual gym to share fitness issues, an ongoing challenge where we set our own weekly goals and check in for help with any missteps, and a "daily goal" thread if we feel like doing things a day at a time.

Feel free to jump in on any of them at any time, or start your own discussion on your personal challenges.

You found me in a chatty mood, didn't you? Enjoy getting acquainted with your team mates. They are so great!!!

EDIT: I wanted to add that when we feel a need for "help right now" or have a special concern, we post it and someone comes to talk with us about it. We are all busy, and yet someone always shows up when we need them. I've been talked down off the ledge many times by friends on this team. ONWARD!
