I think it's great stuff, and it's touted as a superfood, but it's just a part of the complete overhaul of myself I am working on. I need to stay in touch with the loving place and not lose hope, or else I'm doomed. Better nutrition and attitude. Also I just realized that the vitamin c trick--adding vitamin c to bathwater to take the chlorine out--also is a thyroid-booster, since chlorine attacks the thyroid as well as being a carcinogen. I also think I need to find a place every single day that has very fresh air and go there for a stroll. I just did that tonight and it was great for my body and soul.
I feel your pain, it irks me at the amount of cologne or other highly scented items others wear without be considerate of other peoples sensitivities. I guess we live in an all about me world! So is the kelp helping?

You're right, toxic chemicals are all around us, and it just isn't right. Film stars and pop stars want their own fragrances. For some reason people want their laundry 'meadow fresh' instead of just plain clean. The list goes on. Any time we walk out the door of our own homes we're subject to getting sick. I get hit if someone goes by my house, or if the neighbor throws out her mop water even though I'm home.

I was working on my homework the other day when several teenage guys came into my study area wearing some kind of fragranced chemical soup. I tried to ignore it and plow through, but I finally just had to leave because I developed a headache and sore throat. I wish that crap was banned. But it's a multi-billion dollar (and highly unregulated) industry, so it's probably not going to disappear anytime soon. I'm doing my best to not give up on life despite these struggles, and trying to keep the best attitude as possible. Anyways, it's nice to have support, and know it's not just all in our heads. I have been eating a lot of kelp in particular (among other 'alternative' health strategies) as that is supposed to help strengthen the thyroid.
