Hi.

My name is Kathleen. I have been doing Faster EFT now for about 9 months. I cannot tell you the negative emotions I have been able to get rid of. I am so fortunate that there is a meet-up in my city with two of the best practitioners who have helped me immeasurably. Before I met them, I found EFT, and then Faster EFT on line, but wasn't sure how to apply it until I started attending the meetings and one Transformational Seminar. The You tube videos helped a lot but there is nothing like working one on one with a practitioner. I am planning to go to their next seminar on 7/9. I use tapping almost every day for one thing or another. Love it.;

Look up "HealingMagic" on youtube and you will find him. There are many videos, some just a few minutes, some are hour-long presentations.

Hi, FairyWings5! I think it is awesome that you have a coach. I've been considering that and never found one that "clicked". I wonder if you would be comfortable sharing the name either here or in a PM. I really like the combination of EFT and NLP for making lasting change. My husband is constantly annoyed when I stop and change the words to reframe and turn a phrase around. "It's the same thing, why are you so nit-picky?" But it makes a difference to me and to how I feel on a deep level. also... Welcome back to SP! I've returned several times. I love that I can!

Hello! I just came back to Sparkpeople after being MIA for nearly a year. I just joined this team today. I have a lot of work, as I've gained 30 lbs while on psych meds for bipolar and anxiety. I'm no longer on them, as they had too many side effects.
I started seeing an EFT Advanced Practitioner, NLP Master Practitioner and Life Coach 2 months ago to help me with anxiety and bipolar/depression issues. We have so much rapport and he's helped me with so much in just 4 Skype sessions that it's truly amazing! We aren't done yet, but I now have hope. I've seen quite a few counselors, but never really helped me. I never truly trusted them. I also listen to Glenn Harrold.
I don't tap on myself nearly as much as I should, so thought I'd join to encourage myself to do that.

My daughter gave me a nudge and I'm coming back to SP. I first started in October 2009. I lost some weight but am now back up to my beginning SP weight. I joined this group because I have been interested in tapping for at least the same amount of time. I read a lot and tap occasionally but want to be more consistent with it.

I haven't been on this team long. I joined because a friend mentioned tapping to me. I listened to some presentations about it online, but haven't really gotten into it. With the Spring Challenge coming up soon, I think I will make the use of tapping to help with controlling my quantities. I'm glad you commented on that because it is encouraging to me. Sue emoticon

I just tried EFT yesterday for binge eating...and something clicked! Even today I have no problem eating only as much as I need when I need it--I'm listening to my body again! I don't know if it was EFT, or the affirmations, or just the tapping, but I believe something jumpstarted me there; and it is exciting!!!
This looked to be a fairly active team--I hope to get to know some of you well!

Hi,
I have been on the Lemon team since September of 2012. I discovered this new team while searching for tapping. I am open to new ways of thinking and learning. I attended the "I Can Do It" conference in Tampa in November of 2010 and heard some wonderful minds speak such as Wayne Dyer, Louise Hays, and Marianne Williamson. A friend sent me a video by Louise hays today on tapping and it caught my interest. I am a very spiritual (not religious) person who is open to what this magnificent universe has to offer and teach me. I intend to learn new things each day on earth until my journey to a different plane. I am delighted to have found this team! I live in sunny Florida and am so blessed to be in tune with nature. While I joined ages ago, it was just a fad at the time. I've moved and put on a lot of weight since then. I'm 42. My daughter is in 8th grade. I was in the army for a bit over 9 years. I'm in the Pittsburgh area.

My name is Ilene and I saw this team after I attended the World Tapping Summit that I saw advertised on the Gabriel Method website. I was inspired and have been tapping for about three weeks. It is really working wonders on all sorts of things, like my arthritic back, my stress, and my food addictions. I had Gastric Bypass Surgery almost 18 months ago and lost 109 lbs. Now I am working on making sure I adopt healthier eating habits. Tapping is definitely helping me, and like many of you have said, I have uncovered a whole range of issues. I am glad there is a Spark Team for this.

Hi There

I was a member of this team back in the fall when my sister gifted me two EFT books and I was using them with great success. Only problem with the success was I began to think I didn't need it anymore and stopped both tapping and the team. Well, thing began to unravel and I sat down and took a hard look at what worked in the fall and what wasn't. Silly me! Tapping worked! I began last night and remember this team and it's goal of tapping each day and so I am back and tapping.

I had no idea this was here! I just ran across it. I used EMDR for years at work every time there were issues(everyday). EMDR is a related modality. I actually didn't have success with EFT but I'd like to learn.

Welcome to the team DDawn and all you other newbies.

I would like to re-introduce myself to the team. I am the former Gopher Gurl but have changed my online name to mylifechallenge - because that's what this is - my life challenge. My whole life, I've had an interesting (to say the least) relationship with food. I have gotten through so many challenges and have even conquered a life threatening auto immune disease. But this love/hate/addiction to food has been something I think I will be battling for the rest of my life. Oh well. I'm trying to be at peace with it.

As I'm writing this, all I can think of is all the set up statements that I could use in EFT.

I wasn't able to stick with Sparkpeople as my personal responsibilities increased. Things are a little leveled out now and I'm back.

Looking forward to being part of this team again.

But no pressure - I know everyone is busy (including myself) and will enjoy any little input that this team can provide and I will encourage where I can.

I got here by 'accident'! I just heard about EFT again on the radio a few days ago. Quite some time ago it had been suggested to help me get over/through some traumas- to LET go (again?). But at that time, I simply wasn't ready to really hear about this technique or therapy.

I've been wanting to discuss it again, but the person is quite busy and I guess I'll wait for that and get out here and do some research myself.

How did i get here by accident? Well, i was reading a blog and somebody mentioned that that person was on the 'eft' teame. But the blogger's team list had no EFT Team there.

So, search I did. Now to look into a way of dealing/releasing?
PS i've been on Sparkpeople for real since July 2011. Lost quite a bit fast, now i"M Stuck- in more ways than one. The move I made for work has made me feel like an exile. Not worthy of being around. Wanna get unstuck from that.

Hi everyone, I'm new to using EFT when I was desperately looking for something to help with my severe spider phobia. Then I got distracted when I learned I could use it for so much else. So I've focused on using it to fight insomnia. It seems to help some but I've only tried for a few days. Now I hope I won't meet another spider until I got around to tapping for that.

I'd love to find out more about how EFT can be used for weight loss (and everything else basically) so this team will hopefully be a good resource. Have a good day!

Thanx very much Els. I appreciate the support. I'm trying to stop myself yfrom trying too many things at once. So have kind of backed off of doing EFT for now. Although just tapping can be very calming.

If you found that you were able to use EFT to help quit smoking, one book I read said that smoking is often noir tied to deep emotions and is "only" physical . The author says it's actually much easier io quit smoking than to stop over eating

I had that same experience when first using EFT Rosalieesther. I did it with a therapist to move through that junk faster. But after doing it today all sorts of other emotions and negative stuff attached to eating (my addiction) came up. All that to say, I agree with you Rosalie tips on how you guys are using EFT would be great. I used EFT to help kick smoking and just started using it today for food. But maybe that info is here but we just haven't found the right thread yet Rosalie. I've been reading all sorts of stuff here then following links, watching tapping videos, reading websites, getting side tracked LOL - then came back here to introduce myself.

I'm sort of new to SP - think I joined in May. Anyway, I love it. EFT I want to love. It would be so great to feel that I was able to move on from some emotional hurdles. I've watched some youtube videos that are just amazing - men with Post Traumatic Distress finally putting to bed some thing that happened 30 years ago.

Congratulations on quitting smoking and using EFT to do it! emoticon I am still not consistent with EFT and some things I've been reading lately suggested that it is best to progress through emotions as I tap. This sort of brought me down as I went deeper and deeper into my feelings. Any suggestions about tapping for weight loss would be very much appreciated.

Hi everyone, I'm not new to SP, but I am new to this team. I am a long time student and user of EFT and have had some training in the modality. I always like to be surrounded by like minded people and do know about all kinds of resources with different practitioners online, such as Carol Look, Brad Yates, Pat Carrington and more. EFT has really changed and advanced since Gary Craig's inception and now there are many variations available that are much shorter (I hated having to do the longest version, where you tap all of the fingers, roll the eyes, hum "Happy Birthday"). That original version was just way too long! I have had great success using EFT to quit smoking cold turkey, and am now using it to battle cravings, anxiety and stress, and to help release emotions from my life that have led me to overeat in the first place. It's such a great tool!

This is the first time I've ever heard of Eft and honestly watchin the videos.. Makes me laugh.. it's like wtf are they doing O.o and are these people crazy.. But than I read what eft is about and how it helps and it actually made me wonder... could this really work for me? lol.
Since I'm a fan of alternative medicine.. Figured why not and give this Eft a try. Since it's definately different and unique.

Good grief, there's a Spark Team for everything! :) My name is Kerri. I was first introduced to EFT last December as a method for reducing anxiety. I saw that person again 4 days ago (she's a retreat director) and refreshed my memory of the technique. I'm interested to read about your experiences with EFT!

Hi, I am new to the team but not new to SPPL or to EFT. I've been struggling with losing weight for about 2 years now, and on and off for maybe 20 years? I had an accident in 2008 and got derailed and now am opening a small business and am having trouble staying on track with both exercise and eating. Plus I have some food sensitivities to wheat and dairy, can't ingest any type of caffeine, including chocolate and no alcohol - which is fine. I know how to use EFT for anxiety and fears - it helped me overcome fear of driving and flying right away that developed soon after my accident! Is there a Spark guide for using EFT for weight loss? Thanks for having this team and I am very grateful for anyone's help and guidance! emoticon

Hi, I am also new to the team. I totally believe in brain centers and the power of stimulation. I've had other techniques before that were successful, but have lost touch with my practitioners. Just did the demo on the web site. Wow and a half. I'm a little dizzy right now truthfully. This could be a very interesting ride!

HI All, I am new to the team and fairly new to tapping. My therapist introduced it to me a few years ago but I never really took it up with any regularity. I recently started tapping to combat procrastination and after success with that I am encouraged to also use it for weight loss. I listened to the Jennifer Ortner interview last night on the World Summit - I wish I could have recorded it because I had a strong reaction to it. It was amazing. but I can't afford the $97 to download the whole summit. I have a very very long way to go but I am beginning to be more confident in my abilities.

Good Afternoon everyone. I have actually been a member here at SparkPeople for several years but have gotten off track over the last year+. I am now working on getting back on track. I have used EFT for numerous issues in the past and know how tremendous they are and plan on using it to assist me with this weight loss journey that I am now upon. I have this rare disease called Fabrys and it has kind of put a hitch in my world and I have now decided to kick it in the butt and not let it get me down. I am working on the exercise part as this will be the hardest part to overcome due to the Fabrys but my diet I can definitely do something about. I am hoping that the support here as well as all of the wonderful resources I have seen so far will help to lead me in the right direction.

I hope to get the opportunity to get to know one another.

My name is Monica. I have multiple disibilities and lots of allergies. I have been slipping back in many areas. I am going to need a lot of support and help expecially through the semester. The past couple of weeks have been extra hard so until I seem to be making progress I will need to be checked on very regularly. I have almost given up in some areas as well.

Hi I'm Claire and I've recently discovered EFT through Brad Yate's videos on you tube. I'm keen to know more about it and hope that it will help me stop eating when I don't feel hungry.

I live in Dubai (my username gives it away!) but I'm from the UK. I live alone and have two mischevious cats. This week someone called me Fatty in a nightclub and I've just realised that my eating has been out of control this week! must find a video to tap for that!

Hello! I investigated EFT a few years ago for anxiety and panic attacks, and recently rediscovered it for weight loss. I am very much an emotional eater, and this has sabotaged my weight loss efforts in the past, but I'm hoping EFT can set me free!

My name is Jantje and I am using Renee Stephens' IOWL method to fundamentally change my thinking and behavior that leads me to overeat and be overweight. I have been overweight my entire adult life (and a good portion of my childhood, too). About six years ago I lost about 60 pounds, kept it of (more or less) for about four years but then gained most of it back.
Many of my behaviors are rooted in limiting beliefs and currently, one of my fears is to let go of food as my best friend and fall-back in tough times. Will I still be strong and active and successful when I don't have food to get me through stressful times? Renee has introduced us to EFT and I am using it to release my emotional blocks.

I've been co-leader of the Paul McKenna I Can Make You Thin team for a long time, and one of the techniques he recommends is tapping, but I've never really gotten into it.

Then Annie -- waves at Annie -- started talking about how much it had helped her and we started up a Tap for a Week Challenge. Basically, I just did Brad Yates' Tap o' the Morning, but it really seemed to help.

So I'm adding tapping into my daily routine and decided this was the team to join to help support this habit!

I just signed up for an on-line class for using ETF, and was feeling a little overwhelmed with the informaiton. So I searched at Spark, and low and behold, here is a team.

I must admit, I'm not at all sure how to do this. But I'm willing to believe it could work.

The class wants you to work on emotional issues and how they related to eating .. I guess I'll pick one "feeling" issue and one food related behavior to start with.

I was introduced to EFT by a kinesiologist and have been off and on with my research and use. I actually have quite a few EFT resources, but haven't been consistent in utilizing. When I joined sparkpeople a couple of weeks ago, I looked this group up first. I've been getting used to looking around the site so haven't had time/opportunity to introduce. I'm looking forward to being motivated by the EFT team and creating some accountability for myself.

A warm welcome to all the new members of the EFT team! I've used EFT for awhile now, and try to use it once a day (so I can meet the team goal).

The beauty of EFT is that you don't have to analyze things for hours before you use it to clear away the emotional charge of whatever you're dealing with. You can clear it in minutes and move on!!!

hi! i dont come often on sprkpple bc i have no net at home but i was so excited to see this group! im helen, have tried losing for yrs but after each baby (2) i gained lots of weight! my biggest problem is I have not an ounce of self control so i have been experimenting with EFT, the first two weeks were awesome! didnt have any urge to eat all day but last week i fell off the wagon twice.. but im not giving up and am gonna read every single post in this group :-)
