Fortunately, I never had more than a few pounds to lose thanks to genetics. I'd get on kicks where I'd work out for 6 months and then just lose interest, sometimes for a few years. Then I'd start something else and do the same thing. I actually think it's in some ways tougher to stick to working out when you don't have much to lose. I didn't have the visual reminder that I needed to do something so it was harder to stay motivated. At 5'5", my highest weight has only been around 135 lb. After a year and a half with kb's, I'm still not where I'd like to be. I'm 127-129 now and I'd like to be around 123, but I'm very muscular now. I really need to start being more strict with my diet.

I've been taking private classes with an HKC instructor for at least 6 months now. Planned on getting HKC certified in February but I don't have an extra $500 lying around to do that.

Very bad habit of drinking coffee all day and one/two meals a day. I think the coffee makes me bloated as my stomach is pretty flat in the a.m. and my evening I'm looking a few months pregnant....lol.

The only time I drink water is at the gym, which I know is not good...

Anyway, I'm rambling. Great to have you aboard, the team is a great resource.

Swing Like You Mean It- RKC Style

You are so right. I have been a gym rat my entire life since being an athlete in high school. Just to give you some back ground. I wrestled AAU free style until I was 34 years old. Today I turn 53. After letting myself go for a about ten years. My weight went to 195 Lbs. Today I have 10 Lbs to go to reach my goal weight of 150 Lbs. That is what I weighed my last tournament I wrestled in. KettleBells work. Flat out best shape of my life.

Ditto for me. KB's is the ONLY form of exercise I've ever stuck with for an extended period of time, over a year and a half now at least 3X per week.

Hi
I am glad I found this Spark Team. I have been with Spark People since March of 2009. I didnt know this team existed. I am an avid kettlebell user. So much so that is my work out of choice and has been for over a year at least 3 times a week. I think this will be the place for me to spend some quality time learning.
