Welcome to the group. Keep in mind that it's the hormone insulin that causes fat storage. Although exercise is critical it's been my experience that no lasting weight loss can occur without getting carb intake under control. There's several ways to do that. You can even be vegan and control carb intake. Most of the food that they sell in my local grocery stores is junk food that has little actual food value.
I joined this team a while ago but did not introduce myself.
I am 47 yrs old - married to a wonderful truck driver/farmer, have 2 grown children and live on a farm in Southern Ontario. I am a Personal Support Worker and work full time 11pm-7am. I also have Thyroid Disease. My challenges are finding the time to exercise (happens rarely - even though I have a gym membership) and eating properly at work. If I exercise after work in the mornings - i can't sleep and when I get up in the afternoon, there isn't enough time to get everything done before leaving for work again ........ I am hoping that I can find some inner peace within this group ....I even purchased my first yoga DVD. Yes, I tried it ----it's gonna take a bit of getting used to.....
