Welcome Toni! Sometimes it takes one choice at a time too. It is hard but it can be done.

Long-term Goal: To overcome my hesitation and stay focused long enough no matter what happens in my life.

Medium-Term Goal: Reaching my goal 5% at a time.

Short-Term Goal:
*Drink my water daily
*30 min Exercise (and work my way up) 4 times/wk

I think you'll do great here, on SparkPeople. I really liked the idea of taking it one day at a time. Sometimes looking to far ahead can be overwhelming.

So just do the very best you can, for today. And before you know it ... amazing things can happen.

My name is Toni, I am currently at 340 lbs. I have been married for 12 years this month. I have two children, Gabe (17) and Jesse (3). I originally signed up for Spark people earlier this year but have not been very active with sticking to my goals. I have decided that I need to stick with it and take one day at a time....one meal at a time. Sometimes it seems so far out of reach when I look at the big picture of how much I need to lose... that I get discouraged and quit trying. Over the years this has happened time and time again....only to continually climb the weight gain ladder. My health is not at its best and I need to choose this lifestyle change for me. I am never one to put myself first. But really, it has to be that way or things will never change. The last two days I have logged my food and water and have been able to stay within my limits. I realize that the tracking and logging works for me. I appreciate any support or thoughts you might help me with on my journey and look forward to getting to know you guys. emoticon
