Thanks all. I'll cut back the basil. I picked some this morning and tasted it first and it was not bitter. Having the grilled shrimp again tonight!

Hope you enjoy our team.

Take care.

Welcome Bailey! I'm a novice too, here to learn, so sorry I can't help but I'm going to enjoy reading your answers!

ZoeMom I looooooove piglet. I have a huge stuffed piglet on my bed (ehm, yes, I AM 48 . . . ).

I went to the piglet movie a few years ago. By myself. In a room full of little kids. Loved it. How long ago was that movie?? Maybe more 10 years.

You can cut the Basil back, but leave a few leaves, it will come back.

After Parsley goes to seed I usually throw it out, because it will not grow very well after. But it will have seeded itself and you will have more plants growing.

emoticon everyone!!! I have been on SP for over a year.

I am working on doing a garden this year. I have 5 tomato plants and 4 herbs. Not sure what they all are as someone else started them for me!

I know I have Dill and 2 basil. I am thinking I have rosemary (pretty positive it's rosemary) and then maybe parsley?

My question is the dill and basil has gone to flower. Can I just cut them back and then new leaves will not be bitter?

Any websites people recommend for novice gardeners would be great!

We had grilled shrimp last night for dinner that marinaded in an herb garlic sauce and I added fresh basil and rosemary and I got HUGE compliments from the BF.

Thanks!
