WELCOME NEWBIES!!!! So happy to have you on our team! We already started to the group buddy list for May but if you would like to join in I am sure we could team you up with someone. Check out the link in 'Motivation' - May Buddy List!
Happy to have you and thanks for introducing yourselves. Any ideas on what you are going to plant this season?
I am off to transplant my seedlings - it is almost time to get them in the garden.
IT all begins with YOU..... Plant the seeds and get growing healthy!
I am new and not new to gardening either. Have great spots--water, drought, insects, animals and then being gone have hampered my attempts over the years. This is a very friendly site-- people who care for plants & beauty also seem to be tender toward people too! Their photographs & gardens are beautiful. With everyone helping we shall also have a verdant garden this year, ok?? --Pam Is Australia fall/winter still a planting time?
We cannot do everything at once, but we can do something at once. --Calvin Coolidge
Hi, I am new to this group. I really liked the site, it looks friendly. I should be doing the housework tho!
I live in Melbourne, Australia, with my husband and three teenage daughters. I have a quite large suburban yard although it is not well-oriented for the seasons.
I would really like to start a garden but have been very idle for a long time. We are vegetarian and would love to have at least some of our own veges. As a child we never bought veges or much fruit, my Dad always had a wonderfully productive garden. I don't seem to have picked up the knack, just the inclination!
I have lost 15 kilograms over the last six months so I feel much more able to take on projects. I have been on the Spark website since 2007, I am in a couple of groups but otherwise not all that active. Procrastination and not wanting to start something that I won't get going properly are the hurdles for me. With a garden and plants in general one of the other issues I have is that I am called away on short notice several times a year because my elderly parents are in another state and I have caring duties there. Plants that I get going just die while I'm away because no-one tends them. We have massive water restrictions here because our water supplies are seriously depleted by years of drought (and official neglect I think). So we are not allowed to use auto watering systems. Anyway, hope everyone's day/night etc is going o.k. and look forward to sharing ideas etc.
