Hi Jennifer, from the beautiful sunshine state of California! You're right, the gardening opportunities in California are amazing, especially in the middle and Northern parts of the state.
We used to live in a suburb North of Los Angeles before moving to Central Arkansas. Gardening in So. Cal. was fun but the dryness was always a challenge - - especially after we started growing orchids.
Looking forward to meeting you on the Veggies & Blooms team posts! HAPPY GARDENING - HAPPY SPRING!

Hi! I'm a mom to 2 little boys and on my 3rd year of backyard veggie gardening. We live in the very hot zone 9 (14 for those of you in the west using Sunset) so that is a bit of challenge. It does mean we can grow things year round, though, which I appreciate. We've been having nightly green salads with lovely carrots and radishes for weeks now, as well as tons of greens for stir fries and soups. I also have an arid perennial garden I've been working on for fun.
