Hi there! I'm Cori from Edmonton, Alberta. I happened across this group while checking out this and that on SP this afternoon (was supposed to be working, but oh well..LOL), and it seemed like a fun and active group.
I've been gardening pretty much as long as I can remember. Perennials and herbs are my favourites, with veggies a close second. Annuals are great for a splash of colour, but they just don't do really well here with our short growing season and unpredictable weather.
While I wait for spring to arrive, I'm (theoretically) working on finishing my Master Gardener course. There's still the plant ID project, and some volunteer hours to complete. We have a small back yard here (18x22), so being able to go out to the nearby Devonian Botanic Garden (where I did the classroom portion of the course) is a wonderful treat!
My DGS (just turned 2 on Christmas Day) is my "official garden helper". His main job so far is to fetch and carry a few small things, help pat the dirt down, and sniff the flowers to ensure their scent hasn't faded..LOL
