Thanks to all for the welcome. And thanks for the chicken tips. I was amazed last year at what tiny seeds they could see (and eat!), so I'll find a solution to that problem before it happens this year!
I'm planting greens and salad mixes, tomatoes, ornamental/meal/chicken corn, dried beans, nasturtiums, zinnias, some squashes, several other things I don't remember. I have to pace myself and plan, plan, plan or I don't get everything done!

Hi Whee-
Welcome and look forward to your ideas and suggestions. Good luck on the pool/pond I had one I had to replace and that's not real fun.

Well welcome back!
How exciting planning already! I can't wait. The snow about 8 inches just melted yesterday and I am chopping at the bit to plant myself!
But it will be months here in Indiana before that happens!
My lilac bush is budding though and some of my other trees!
I would say you are free ranging those little chickens! You can use a small fence around the garden until the plants are large enough to stand the Chickens!
That is all I know to do! Hope it helps!
Glad to Meet You!

WELCOME TO THE TEAM.... RED CLAY!!! I sure do miss the red clay in Georgia. I lived there as a child. I remember lots of ferns and a wonderful rose bush in the front of our home as a child.

I want to welcome you to the team... what are you going to grow this year?

Nice to meet you Whee...Wow planting already and well unless you keep the chickens penned that is just something you will have to contend with. You might see if they have some biodegradable netting you can put over them to get them started...Hugs. Barb

Hi Team,

I'm happy to be back here, got a package of seeds and I'm HOT TO PLANT!! But, alas, first I have to go help DH unload a truck full of red dirt because we're trying to seal our leaky pond.

I look forward to reading all about everyone's garden plans and getting ideas about how to restrain myself from planting too much. I'll also need some tips about how to keep my kooky chickens from eating my seeds!

Glad to be back--I hope everyone is enjoying a beautiful Saturday. It's over 60 degrees here! Woohoo!
