Hello Team - My name is Marilyn/Sunny332 - nickname came from the fact that I raise Hybrid Sunflowers.
I also live in Missouri. Born and raised in Kansas where my love of Sunflowers started.

I am really bored with Winter and am suffering from
Dirt Fever - ready to get my hands dirty. I have been at www.starkbros.com wishing and
dreaming. I am going to be planting some thornless blackberry bushes this year. Also, am ordering some new Rose bushes.

I love this time of year - seed catalogs arriving in the mail which gives me hope of spring right around the corner.

I look forward to meeting you all. Hugs, Sunny emoticon

Welcome to the team Stacey. Wow you have a mini farm too. I love goats. We used to raise them. Mainly for milk as one of our sons had trouble digesting milk growing up and goat milk was the alternative. I'd love to have a herd myself. They have such personalities. Our chickens are the Easter Egg chickens and our one rooster is a barred rock. He is so elegant. We plan to get some straight runs from the feed store soon to grow off for eating. Our hens have begun laying again so know soon we will have more eggs than we know what to do with. I hope you are putting pictures up on your page. Big hugs. Barb

Hello and welcome Stacey! Thanks for the intro - sounds like you've built quite the little paradise as I find most here have done!

Here's my funny 'country newbie' story: we used to visit northern PA and camp on family property. We heard an awful noise all night from the field down the way a bit. In the morning it stopped and we commented to the neighbor about the sick cow and we hope it's ok. She said "yoooou mean the bull that was in heat last night? Sure he's just fiiiine now"

Hi Stacey, (my husband has a daughter Stacey who lives in Washington).

I am from Arkansas. This year I intend not to go into the hospital in March like I did last year. I'm looking forward to working on my little garden this year.

I joined this team several months ago because March/April are my favorite months of the year. I get to start my vegetable garden! My garden is my refuge. Creating beautiful plants that can feed my family and store for the winter brings me so much satisfaction. My husband and I have been married for almost 19 years. We have three wonderful children that we have had the opportunity to homeschool for eleven years. They are our joy. We recently moved to the "country" and began raising Nigerian Dwarf goats and Barred Rock chickens. We are learning as we go and I am sure are the laughing stock of all real farmers in the area. I love Spark People because I can connect with great people passionate about things I am while staying healthy and strong.

Blessings,
Stacey
