I am glad you found us and you posted in just the right place. No worries. I too have struggled with anxiety for a long time, but am here to tell you it does get better. It is rare now that I have panic attacks, but years ago I was plagued with them.

Hi everyone! My name is Jasmine and I'm brand new to SparkPeople. I've suffered from anxiety for as long as I can remember. I have general anxiety as well as panic attacks, and in times of high stress I tend to be an emotional eater. In fact, most of my weight gain has been during times of great anxiety for me (starting high school and then starting college). One of my biggest weight gains was when I had to up the dose of my anxiety medications, slowing my metabolism even more (I would love to someday go off my medication, but being in school I don't see this happening anytime soon). Anyhow, I'm doing pretty well right now and my goal is to get healthy! Both mentally and physically! Looking forward to talking with you all!
