I have to be on meds for my anxiety...However I don't need the entire amount that I am prescribed. My as needed dose I often skip and try to deal with the anxiety in other healthy ways.
Here is what I have found helpful....walking or any typr of cardio, deep breathing exercises....there is square breathing & the counting loop, drink chamameal tea, hot bubble bath, candles, soft or relaxing music.
Hope you find your niche that helps you find peace and serenity!! Welcome to the team! Hope you visit us often! Cynthia

Hiya! VelvetAlchemist here. I was recently told by a trusted NP that I reeeeealy should be on meds to control my anxiety. As I am about as anti-meds as one could be, I thought I'd join here instead and get some non-med tips and tricks and such. :) On the outside, I am cool and sometimes aloof, funny and snarky. I was favorably compaired to Daria just a few weeks ago by a coworker. *lol* But on the inside I'm like a hyper-nervous chihuahua who is about two steps from peeing on the best rug in the house. It's a delightful combination of low self-confidence, social anxiety, depression, and work stress. Tasty n'est ce pas? All this frazzle-ness is playing havoc with my blood pressure, so here I am. :) Thanks for havin' me!
