Thanks, HLTHAPPINESS4C!! It is comforting to know that I am not alone. You are right - some days are good and some are not. So far, it's been a good day. I am definitely going to look into those CD's at Target - I think they will be a big help. Thanks for telling me about them!
Hello & to the team! We are glad you found us & look forward to getting to know you better and supporting you!
You are definitely not alone. I too suffer from anxiety & depression. Some days are great; others not. One thing that I have found really helpful is to practice deep breathing and relaxing. You can buy CD's at Target that have progressive muscle relaxation or calming cd's that you can listen to and just deep breath.
BRENDAJOYCE64~ I so hope that your new psychiatrist will be able to help you and get things more under control so that you can lead a happier life.
Each of you may keep in touch with me! I'm glad to help where I can! Blessings to each of you! Cynthia

Thank you! It's comforting to know that I'm not alone. It is hard dealing with the anxiety and out of control feelings just about every day. The days that I don't have those feeling are few and are a blessing. I just started seeing a Psychiatrist and have a second appointment on Friday. Wishing you all the best and hope your appointment goes well on Thursday. Take care.

Welcome to the team - it is so good to share thoughts and ideas with people experiencing the same symptoms. I suffer from extreme anxiety and have taken effexor, xanax and klonopin. I was actually taking 450 mg of effexor, which was waaaaaay too much. I felt like a zombie most of the time, not feeling anything. I weaned myself slowly off, but I still take the xanax and klonopin. I am seeing a different psychiatrist 'Thursday, so I am hoping he will give me other options. Drop me a note and I will let you know what I found out. Please keep in touch - I know we can conquer this together.

Hi everyone - Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone. I joined SP over the weekend and just came across this team today.
I have a lot of anxiety (and depression too) on most days and am looking forward to hearing how everyone deals with it. I have found lately that exercise really helps ease much of my anxiety - so that is a good thing! I hope that reading and discussing through here will be a help as well.
