hey there,
congrats on your upcoming wedding, well it's a ways off but congrats anyway. i wish i had waited 2 years so i could have gotten a dress i truly loved instead of one that just hid all the fat my fiance packed on me with his good cooking!
i've just lost about 10 pounds by cutting down on animal products and other high fats and replaced them with tons of fruits and veggies. i got the idea from this book called "Eat To Live". i'm a carnivore so i am not about to go totally vegetarian but i've cut way down on meat, dairy, pasta, and bread. if i eat pasta, bread or rice it's always whole wheat. i also drink about 10 glasses of water everyday.
it's not a diet that everyone can stick to but i think it is at least a good way to jump start whatever diet you think you can stick to. it's actually made me feel really healthy and i don't even crave sweets or anything bad for me except on rare occasions when i smell fried chicken. (my weakness).

Hello SparkPeople World!
My name is Jes and I joined SparkPeople about a week ago and figured I should introduce myself. I am 21 years old and currently weighing in at 147 pounds. I know that that seems to be the goal weight of most of the people on here, but it is my antigoal weight because I am only 4' 11", which means that that seemingly low weight is all crunched into a quite small package. Since I am short, all the weight seems to rest right in my belly region, and my fiancee and I have nicknamed it my "food baby." My goal is to get to a healthy weight for my height and age, and hopefully to look a little better while doing so. I am currently engaged to the most wonderful man in the world, besides my Daddy of course, and want to help him fall in love with me all over again by becoming more confident in myself and by being healthier overall. We are planning to be married October 19th, 2013, so I only have two years to get to my goal and stay there! My goal is to get to around 115 pounds by October 1st so that I can begin trying on wedding dresses :) I will need all the motivation I can get so please SparkBuddy me, or message me, or whatever you feel like doing!! Good luck on all of your weight loss endeavors and I will see you around!!
