Hi, Welcome to the team. Everyone here is really helpful and supportive. I'm so glad I found this group. Like everyone said thats the best attitude, just take it slow and easy. You'll eventually build up more and more strenght, but just get used to everything. Deciding to live a healthier lifestyle is a big change and takes time, but if you stick with it you'll get there
Yes, the key is to start slow and work up gradually. I had a lot of physical and mental challenges when I started. By starting slow and gradually working up, I have overcome many of my problems. You can too! I wish you the best of luck.

Start slow so as not to overwhelm yourself. We try for 10 min. of exercise here and then progress gradually. Exercise will help with the anxiety and you will have a great sense of accomplishment. I know you are also on the chair exercise team and they have great links. Do it for fun and soon you will be looking forward to the movement because you feel so much better!

hi all i need to lose some pounds i need to go from 340 down to 140. when i stop smoking 6 years ago that is when i gain i have a few medical problems that keep me from walking any distances, my biggest down fall is sweets, & chocolate, chocolate is the worst one, i have ocd, high blood pressure, problems with my breathing, i do not cook any more it is cheaper for me to buy the frozen dinners, but there is to much salt in them, i suffer from depression, anxiety, disability, with out the sleeping pills i would get no sleep. i have a bike that i have try to use one that is statutory for 45 mins a day like my pcp said but i had to stop it cause more problems with my leg. any help would be great i am not ready to retire yet i am 62 years young.
