Some things that have helped me with my anxiety is to do deep breathing exercises; especially the progressive muscle relaxation. Sometimes I will take a hot bath and have candles burning. Other times I need to take my PRN anxiety medication. I know some find writing in a journal helpful. Another great thing I have found is that exercise really helps to keep the anxiety levels down. It kind of is a release of the nervous energy. These are just some ideas. I hope they give you a start in the right direction. I'm sure others will have helpful ideas as well.
