My name is Bre and I've been adding a few more SparkTeams today and this is one of them. :) I believe I have had anxiety to some extent since I was quite young. I used to lie in bed as a child, unable to fall asleep because I was just thinking and worrying, sometimes to the point of nausea. As an adult, I find that when I'm working out regularly and just being healthier, the anxiety is significantly lessened but it's definitely still there. I'm mostly petrified of trying new things where anyone could see me make a mistake. Making mistakes and being called out on it is one of the most mortifying experiences for me.
Anyway, I am so happy there is a supportive place with those that experience and understand anxiety. Those that don't suffer from it always think you can just *stop* the thoughts or feelings. It can be quite frustrating.
As for my weight-loss, I've been a member on this site for over a month now and on this most recent weight-loss/fitness journey since the beginning of 2010. I am getting close to my goals and this time I want to create and maintain life-long habits to stay fit and healthy. I think it can go a long way towards mental well-being.
I haven't really added many SparkFriends yet and would love to have some to support, encourage, and cheer on (and receive the same in return). Glad to be on the team!
