Hi! You sound really sweet. You are doing a lot. Advice from a former workaholic: take good care of yourself, focus on what YOUR goals are and prioritize. Face what is bothering you--believe me, avoidance behavior is costly--and organize in a way that supports your life. Plan your downtime as well as your activities. When you have what you need, you can be a lot more confident (antidote to anxiety!). I am currently working on this balance myself.

Hello, all. I'm Nikki. I'm 19 and a sophomore in college. I have a tendency not to deal with things that are stressing me out and I've developed chronic acid reflux as a result. I've dealt with sleeping issues, severe weight loss, and anxiety. I started talking to my pastor and a counselor at my school and I've learned a lot of great ways to deal with my anxiety.

The only thing I can't seem to do with my life is simplify. My counselor continuously requests that I simplify my schedule to help alleviate my stress and anxiety about things I have to do, but I can't seem to do it. I have 18 credit hours, I'm involved in two choirs, I have a supporting role in the musical, and I just accepted the position as the English Department assistant. I just really like having lots and lots of things to do, I guess...

Anyway. I'm glad to be a part of this group. I hope it will be a great support in the future!
