Hi everyone, my name is Ann. I am recently divorced after 24 years of marriage and live a hundred miles away from the place I had called home for the last 16 years. I am 53 years old and trying to start my life over again. The stress levels have been almost unbearable at times, but they are getting somewhat better. Nice knowing there is a place I can go to just talk to someone. I have been a member of Sparks People since 2010 and in the process have lost a total of 110 lbs. and have managed to keep it off + or - 5 lbs. I am really glad I found this group will be nice to just chat with others knowing I'm not alone. Everyone have a great day.

Hi all...so glad to have found this team! My anxiety is getting better day by day with lots of prayer. Think it has something to do with my thyroid. Working with MD. Outside of that, married. 21 years and have 3 big kids :) 20 fixing to be 18 and 14 1/2. Need encouragement daily . Hope all are well this great day the Lord has blessed us with!
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in ALL circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you...1 Thess 5:16-18

I received my anxiety through my DNA, i have tried many times to defeat it without any luck.
Hi, I'm just joining this team. I am starting on new anxiety meds and of course am worried that they will affect my ability to lose weight. Looking forward to hearing from everyone on how things work for them.

I have really only accepted that I have pretty big issues with anxiety in the last few years. No official diagnosis, but I have really made some progress since accepting and starting to work on things.
Glad to see there's a team here - nice to be around folks that get it - easier to find than in real life sometimes :)

Hi everyone! My name is Jasmine and I'm brand new to SparkPeople. I've suffered from anxiety for as long as I can remember. I have general anxiety as well as panic attacks, and in times of high stress I tend to be an emotional eater. In fact, most of my weight gain has been during times of great anxiety for me (starting high school and then starting college). One of my biggest weight gains was when I had to up the dose of my anxiety medications, slowing my metabolism even more (I would love to someday go off my medication, but being in school I don't see this happening anytime soon). Anyhow, I'm doing pretty well right now and my goal is to get healthy! Both mentally and physically! Looking forward to talking with you all!
Hi, my name is Cheri and I am new to this team. I have suffered from anxiety all my life and right now its probably at its worst. To start my husband and I decided to move out of state about 8 months ago because things weren't going that well with his job and we wanted to live closer to family. So in the middle of planning our move and trying to sell our house I found out I was pregnant with our 2nd daughter. We had been trying for over 2 years at the time. So then 6 months later we have sold our house and moved to Oklahoma. When we got here we were excited but after all the excitement we had a lot to do. First we had to get insurance so I could get to a doctor right away which took what seemed like forever . We have been here two months and my husband still hasn't found a job and I am in my last trimester. We are living off our savings and don't want to have to apply for welfare unless its absolutely necessary. We are also living with my father in a one bedroom apartment which can get pretty crowded.
