Hi, Patsy & welcome! I too have been on many different meds. I have a very sensitive system & wasn't able to handle most meds. I did however find tremendous success with Cymbalta & Klonopin. Plus I was in therapy for several years which did help too. I just recently (with Dr's okay) was able to come off the Cymbalta and am doing good; still on & will probably be for life on Klonopin for panic disorder / severe anxiety problem. I see my Dr. every 4 months for a check in too. If your main issue is panic/anxiety you may want to check into something like klonopin. I'm on a really small daily dose & it works great. Haven't had a panic attack in about 2 years. Longest spell ever in my lifetime. :) Plus, I know you said insurance was an issue- our pharmacies here only charge $15 for a month's supply.
Wishing you the very best & hope you had a great weekend! Amy

You are in good company here. I have been suffering myself for years with anxiety and two years ago it peaked and I finally sought treatment and I am on the generic brand of Prozak and it helps a lot. I also keep xanax on me if I need to stop a panic attack. This team is great and we are all here for each other:)
It's great to mee you. I can empathize with your struggles as I have battled depression and anxiety for a long time. I'm doing well with the depression, but it seems the anxiety is always there. I hope that the welbutrin will help you. One thing I learned while in the hospital is that benedryl can be taken for anxiety. I know it sounds strange but the antihistimine has calming effects. I mention it only because it's alot less expensive than prescription antianxiety medications. I have insurance but it will not pay for my Ativan as it is a benzodiazapime...(My insurance company will NOT pay for those even if needed).
Please post often and know that you have lots of support here.

Hi Patsy, I am also on the generic form of Welbutrin as well as several other anxiety and depression medications. I pretty much have my depression under control with the medications but the anxiety still persists. I want to welcom you to sparks it is a great place to meat people and get advice as well as words of encouragement. Kathy
I know I have posted before, but I don't think I have introduced myself! I am 31, and pretty much have spent the majority of my life battling depression and anxiety... I have been on too many meds to count and currently am in Welburtin (but the generic). I am limited on what I can do, and how much I can due to no insurance.
