SO GLAD TO HAVE YOU ON OUR TEAM!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like you have a problem similar to mine. Do you have any idea what caused you to fall back into this feeling? If you could figure that out, maybe that would help to bring you out of it. I'm much the same way,I'm not comfortable in large crowds, and I've been told, the only way to overcome it is to just go on and do it,force yourself if you have to,but (I find this very, very difficult for me) I wish I could give you more help, cause I think I know where you're coming from. When you were agoraphobic before, did you use profess- ional help or medication? Maybe that's something to look into. Maybe counseling or something. Best of luck to you. mj1550
Thanks for all the comments and welcomes to the questions that were asked, I am not sure what triggers it, I have always felt like I was holding back from being who I am because of my fear of mostly what people think, It's something I have been trying to figure out for some time. I did get out of the house today though, and I am really PROUD of myself!!
Glad you found us. I have felt like that before, but I usually it is just high anxiety and not wanting to deal with the public. Some people can really push you into high gear, w/o even trying. Sometimes, I have wanted to stay home when everyone else was going somewhere just to be alone. But I guess that really isn't the same thing. If you can tell you getting in that same slump, what tells you that, and what do you think makes you feel that way?
Welcome, glad you have joined us. This is a wonderful place for advice and support. What do you think makes you want to stay in the house and not go out? Have you been able to pinpoint what might trigger it? Are you taking any meds?
Hello, I am new to the group, came across it and thought this might just be what I need. I was agoraphobic for a year and a half, and luckily pulled myself out, and got out of the house. Now I am finding myself falling back into that same slump again. Any suggestions.
