Thanks to all of you that replied to my "I am new to the group post" I think I am going to get some really great support here, and hopefully I can maybe help some others as well. To the questions, yes I am on medication, I even have to pre-medicate before I can leave the house, and yes I am in counseling at this time. Thanks everyone, I look forward to talking to you all. emoticon

We are all here to support you and find ways to deal with our anxieties. There is a thread for what books, CD's, etc people like that work for them. A book called "Worry" works good for me and some of the workbooks as well. Therapy helps alot as well and the medications can depending on your body.

Check out our threads on the different topics, you may find something that helps you!

I would suggest a good therapist. I've been blessed with a great Christian therapist who prays with and for me.
Also I've taken 5-htp - natural for depression. I can't take anti-depressants too many side effects. There's a great book called 'From Panic to Power' by Lucinda Bassett. You can find this pretty cheap on ebay.
Face your fear - yep it's hard boy do I ever know! I can't work because of mine but I'm getting better.
and you will too

emoticon Have you gone on any medication? I take Celexa, or at least the generic for it. I used to have more severe anxiety attacks then I do now but over the years they have calmed down. Tell us a little more about yourself.

"I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord,"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me whin you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,"declares the Lord,"and will bring you back from captivity."
