Ugh, I should be training for a marathon in May but waiting until it's nicer outside. The good news is spring is right around the corner and since you're already comfortable with the 10K distance, you should have not problem advancing to the half marathon distance by fall!
There is no passion in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living. ~ Nelson Mandela
Always do what you're afraid to do ~George Bernard Shaw
Does your treadmill face a t.v. or can you position a laptop? I have streamed entire seasons of t.v. shows during runs on treadmills and I also download audio books - Winter isn't over here yet either but I feel your pain!
For me the key to tolerating the dreadmill is to use it for my speedwork or something where I have goals and am varying tempo and distances It drives me crazy to just get on it and run for a certain number of miles.
i am a heavy runner, who is trying to make the jump from 10K to a half marathon by fall 2013. i am currently in a hate-hate relationship with my treadmill, since i'm from ontario and running outside is not an option until the 6 foot snowbanks melt away anika
