Congrats on your wonderful achievements!

I'm training for my first Half Marathon in Feb 2013 and I have been amazed at how well the training works, and even more amazed that I can do it.

Welcome and yippee!!!

I finished my first HM last September and as my father is a distance runner I had lots of inspiration for that race and am completely looking forward to my 2nd race here this St. Patty's Day in Virginia Beach.

I wish you continued success since you've already made so much of it in your life so far.

Top o' the afternoon to ya!

I currently live in Memphis and had always wanted to be a runner, but my weight kept it from happening for many years (too much stress on the knees). Once I dropped down to about 200 pounds this summer, I tried it again, and it stuck this time!

I have now reached my goal weight and in maintenance these days, so I'm now focusing a bit more on reaching fitness goals. Since I started running, I've done 3 5k races and a 4 mile race, and I'm definitely hooked. Planning on running a 10k in February as well as the Germantown Half Marathon here in the Memphis area on March 17. I start my training program on January 8. I can't wait!

I look forward to getting to know yas, though I do already see some familiar "faces" here already from other teams I belong to. :)
