Howdy. I started "officially" running last year and laid my claim to running about a month ago. I am finally at a point where I can say that I like to run and look forward to running either solo or with my running group. I told my group that I had no plans to run further than a 10K, 12K max. Well, I ran my first half on my 40th B-day and what a race - Rock N Roll San Antonio. So much fun, even in the heat, and a great medal too. I now have a half planed for Jan, March and April of 2013.
I was running 3 miles straight last year while living in Sacramento. Now, I live in Houston and working my lungs back up to 3 mile runs by running a mile and walking a quarter mile and scaling that walk break down each week. Any advice I can get on increasing my endurance is greatly appreciated.
This running thing may turn out to be tons of fun.
No matter how slow you go, you are lapping those on the couch.
