Teri, GREAT advice....I think you about covered it all! The only thing I would add is, remember that you didn't put the weight on overnight and you won't lose it overnight either. If you haven't already, take good before pictures and measurements. These will help you when the scale isn't cooperating. Mirrors lie, just as scales do, but if you are drinking your water, getting in some added fitness and tracking your food, you WILL see changes that are measurable. Sometimes that is all that is needed to keep you motivated!

This is definitely a support place. My DH is not especially active in his support, but he is not an enabler either. Most of my motivation I've found here at SparkPeople and from within. You have to make the changes for YOU, not that others won't benefit in the long run.. There are some great stories here that help me be more dedicated and some very creative bloggers who have a nack of writing just what you need to hear. Add these people as SparkFriends! I've never been turned down and following, commenting and encouraging others can be motivating for yourself. Hang in there! Remember, you are worth it!

Hello everyone! My name is Erin and I have been a sparkpeople member for a while, however I never really used the resources or followed through. I am fed up with feeling bad about myself and need to make a change. I do not have the best support system around me, at least when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle, so I am hoping to meet some people that can keep me motivated and inspired and hopefully I can do the same for them.
