You are a runner because you run. Doesn't matter the distance or the speed. If you want to train for a half marathon and you want to be in a place with others who have the same interest, you're in the right place! I never planned on running a half or a full marathon. I joined those teams on a whim. After reading success stories and training stories at first I thought I couldn't do it. you have to start somewhere. the best thing about running is the only person you compete with is yourself, You run at your own pace. the best thing about our sport is I find other runners so willing help out another runner with any kind of advice or tips. you are in the right group there is a bunch of amazing people in this group who will help you and guide you.

I am never surprised at how supportive runners are with one another. I have only met a few in my 6 plus years of running whom I have come across as nonsupporting. Runners, no matter what their level, are truly an amazing group of people.

I'm still struggling to do 50 miles/month consistently. When I first joined I was doing maybe 25 per month? It's a process, and everyone here is SO helpful!
