Hi! I've been running for about a year now. I've done three 5Ks, one 10K, and I'm training for my first 1/2 in September. I am also registered to run the Disney 1/2 in January.
My brother is a marathon runner, and I always said after I had my kids I would at least run a 5K with him. After watching my brother run the Disney Marathon this past year, both my husband and I were inspired to go further.
Maybe one day I'll do the full 26.2, but for right now I'll stick with the 1/2!
Hi, It's been a couple years but I'm back into running again. I have a Fall half planned just because I need a goal to keep me focused and to keep me feeling guilty if don't want to exercise one night. I'm hoping if training goes well I'll be able to do the Alaska half next summer with at least 30 fewer pounds.
I used to run a lot and would do at least one half a year. Somehow I even made my way through 4 Chicago marathons (what an awesome course!). Anyway after 3 half marathons in 4 months my schedule and knees needed a break. I look forward to hearing about everyone here and your half marathon goals!
