Hi! I'm sure you've already received my automated "Welcome!" Email, but here I can be more specific.

I'm 58 1 kid 2 grandkids 2 cats and a great husband. I read read read, finishing a book every 2 - 3 days. Starting this year, I'm keeping track of which ones I read because I'm starting to repeat myself! I've also created a list of the ones I want to buy - like the next one in a series. In the past, I would miss a couple and then read the books out of order which drives me insane. Now that I have a Nook, I can keep looking the books up and buying when they are on sale instead of the grocery store price.

The problem with all this reading is it keeps us sitting! I don't like audio books - they're often condensed versions - and frankly, it takes a lot longer to hear it than read it. I have a treadmill but I find it difficult to read while I'm bouncing, although I see others do it at the gym. Books or exercise - hhmmm. So far, books are winning.

Although I've been back sliding (ie not working at a healthy lifestyle) for several months but I still get onto SP every day or so to stay connected to the community and tools that can help me succeed. I guess it sounds silly, but I know I'd be back to eating 0 fruit and eating things bad for my kidney disease (seeds nuts bananas tomato while grains - all the stuff that is normally good for you). Any toe hold in the right direction is good!

We have other threads where you can share the particulars of your diagnosis and compare your treatment options. Treatment choices always create interesting conversations! Are you new to osteo? Do you know the dangerous vs healthy osteo movements? There are osteo friendly exercise tapes and devices that can be purchased outside SP. Do you use any? Inquiring minds want to know!
