I am in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Trying to get up to 5 miles a day of walking. Drove everywhere. So I figure walking 0.42 miles one way to work is a good start for me. It is down hill, up hill, down hill, and up hill. The docs all told me to start slow and build up the distance gradually, as well as vary the walking pace. If you are sweating and able to carry on a conversation while walking then your doing your body good. Trying to get there; my walk takes me 10 minutes which is aggravating cause I use to walk an 11 minute mile. Negative Bone Density is the pits when you have given yourself other problems along with it.

Thanks for the welcome back. Im in Southfield. It seems AZ is the place to be though. I know so many people who have moved there. Back in 08, when I first joined SP, I belonged to a group called Royal Oak Twigs. We'd meet once every couple of weeks and mall walk. That group is long inactive now.
Our new member, John, asked me if there was anyone else in our area that could be an osteo exercise buddy and it occurred to me that we only know where each other lives by reading comments or SparkPages.
So, add an entry in this thread - and maybe we'll get lucky and find each other close!
